The calculator is by the UN body, the International Civil Aviation Organisation. It’s based on the specific ‘From’ and ‘To’ city, and looks up tables of actual aircraft running that route, their fuel consumption (kg fuel per leg) and occupancy tables. Put in your cities, and press ‘compute’; it will calculate the kgCO2 for your (return) trip. Write down the ‘total passengers CO2/journey (KG)’ and then consider using this link to donate.
